What Is Meshtastic?
Meshtastic is an open-source project that turns affordable LoRa radios into a decentralized, long-range communication network. No cellular service or internet connection is required — nodes relay messages across the mesh automatically.
What Is MeshCore?
MeshCore is an alternative LoRa mesh protocol focused on structured routing through dedicated repeaters. It supports up to 64 hops and is optimized for city-scale and regional networks with fixed infrastructure.
